MEET ONE OF OUR ASSISTANT ADOPTION COORDINATORS

Lesley Van Duinen has lived all over as a Foreign Service brat, but for the past 13 years, she has called Chattanooga, TN, home. With 15 years of experience in animal rescue, she has worked on and off in various roles, combining her skills as a Veterinary Technician with her passion for saving lives. She recently joined Your Local Fur Mama as an Assistant Adoption Coordinator, helping match rescue animals with their perfect forever families.

When she’s not busy with rescue work, Lesley is a stay-at-home parent to her two little ones (A & F), alongside her husband, Matt. In her free time—when she gets some—she loves to read, crochet, and fully embrace life as one with her couch.

Her home wouldn’t be complete without her beloved fur babies: Kida, a loyal and loving Pit mix, and Esmerelda, her sassy feline companion. Whether she’s wrangling rescue animals, reading a great book, or mastering the art of relaxation, Lesley brings warmth, humor, and dedication to everything she does.
