MEET OUR GRANT WRITER
LAURA ELLEN GRAY
Laura Ellen grew up in Memphis, TN, where her love for animals and storytelling began. Her passion for making a difference led her into the nonprofit world, where she now serves as the Grant Writer for Your Local Fur Mama, helping secure crucial funding to support neonatal kitten and puppy care.
With a professional background as a Marketing Manager and Consultant (depending on the day!) for Reyka & Lu Creative, Laura Ellen has a talent for creative storytelling and strategic communication, which she brings to both her professional life and her work with YLFM. She has been part of the rescue for the past year and a half, officially stepping into a more active role in the past two months to further support the mission.
Laura Ellen resides in Chattanooga, TN, with her fiance, Jestin Bell, and their beloved four-legged crew: Jade, a sweet Pitbull; Laia, a spunky Boston Terrier/Pitbull mix; Franklin, a fluffy Havanese; and Nala, the queen of the house and a gorgeous Tortie cat.
Outside of her work and rescue involvement, Laura Ellen enjoys playing pickleball, experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen, and diving deep into her Bible for inspiration and personal growth.
